After what the company has deemed a “successful beta opening” in Dallas last March, 7-Eleven will be opening another location of its Evolution Store concept in San Diego.
According to a press release, Evolution Store locations include a Laredo Taco Company restaurant and other new food and beverage options like: beverages on tap like Kombucha and cold brew; self-serve drinks like lattes and cappuccinos; a cold treat bar with frozen yogurt, ice cream and toppings; an electronics kiosk with tablets and Bluetooth headphones for sale; an expanded selection of wine and craft beer called “The Cellar”; and mobile check-out and delivery app option. The offerings that resonate with consumers are then incorporated into the next generation of current and new stores, as per the release.
“These new stores are invaluable learning labs, where new concepts are tailored to meet the needs of the communities they will serve from sunny southern California to the fast-paced world of the East Coast,” said Chris Tanco, executive vice president and chief operating officer of 7-Eleven. “We will continue to evolve based on customer feedback…”
7-Eleven plans to continue to open various Evolution Stores throughout the country in 2020.
