Spanish fashion retailer Zara plans to open its first San Diego County store in fall 2012 at Fashion Valley, the Mission Valley shopping center owned by Simon Property Group Inc.
A Feb. 7 statement from mall operators said the two-level, 20,858-square-foot store will be located on the mall’s lower level.
Zara, with headquarters in Arteixo, Spain, sells trendy men’s and women’s clothing and accessories at 1,700 stores worldwide. According to the mall release, Zara stores receive shipments of new clothes twice weekly.
Zara is a division of Spain’s Inditex, among the world’s largest fashion groups with more than 5,400 stores worldwide.
