Kilroy Realty Corp. of Los Angeles, one of San Diego County’s largest office property owners, recently announced a multimillion-dollar project with New Jersey-based Nautilus Solar Energy LLC, in which Nautilus will install significant solar power systems at nine Kilroy properties in California. Costs and specific locations were not announced, though a Kilroy spokesman said six of the installations are planned for buildings in Del Mar Heights. Construction will begin sometime during the current quarter and conclude later this year and early 2018.
In San Diego’s Bankers Hill neighborhood, Brooklyn Bicycles has leased one of two ground-floor retail condominium units at Vue on 5th, a 45-unit luxury condo building recently completed by local developer ColRich at 2655 Fifth Ave. Colliers International Group Inc.’s Bill Shrader, David Maxwell and Joe Brady brokered the lease, along with the recent sale of the 3,044-square-foot, two-unit retail condo space by CR 5th & Nutmeg LLC to San Diego’s Cohen Family Trust, for approximately $1.32 million.
In San Ysidro, Columbia Sportswear Outlet and handbag/clothing retailer Kate Spade New York recently joined the tenant lineup at Las Americas Premium Outlets. A mall spokeswoman said both outlets are new to the San Diego market and have filled up a combined 11,000 square feet of retail space at the border-adjacent center, which is owned by Simon Property Group Inc.
