Retail Keeps Rolling Along

Retailer Target Corp. has set a Nov. 8 opening date for its previously announced new store in Oceanside, filling a renovated space that formerly housed a Kmart at 443 College Blvd near state Route 76. Target recently held local hiring fairs to fill an expected 160 job slots at the store, which will be the retailer’s 22nd in San Diego County.

In Carlsbad, mall owner Simon Property Group Inc. recently announced three new tenants at its Carlsbad Premium Outlets. Now operating at the center are Havaianas, selling beach-ready sandals in a 900-square-foot space; Wildfox, offering “retro-inspired” and contemporary fashions in a 2,589-square-foot spot; and Intermix, a collection of specialty boutiques spanning 2,700 square feet and offering “curated and hand selected” clothing and accessories.
