Median Home Price Rose 7 Percent in February

The median prices of previously owned San Diego homes rose 7 percent in the 12-month period ending in February, though sales dipped, especially for single-family homes, according to the Greater San Diego Association of Realtors.

Annual sales volume was down 12 percent for single-family homes in February, with 1,337 recorded sales. Condos and townhomes sales fell slightly, down 1 percent to 739.

The single-family homes median sales price was $530,000, a 7 percent increase, while condos and townhomes rose 6 percent to $354,450.

Supply remained below less than two months of available inventory, compared with the five to six months of supply that is considered healthy.

The most expensive home sold in February was in Point Loma’s La Playa, for $17.7 million. It had seven bedrooms, 11 baths and 18,500 square feet. It was built in 1990.
