Investor Leslie Gladstone has purchased a retail and restaurant building in La Jolla’s Bird Rock neighborhood for $2.13 million, according to brokerage firm Sperry Van Ness Asset Advisory Group.
The seller of the property, at 5656 La Jolla Blvd., was locally based La Jolla Building LLC. The buyer was represented by Rick Alexander of Sperry Van Ness and Christie Golemb of Ascent Real Estate, and the seller was represented by Peter Wright, Steven Martini and Barrett Geenen of Quality First Commercial.
Brokers said the one-story property, with approximately 2,600 square feet of space on a 0.19-acre lot, may be redeveloped into a two-story property with commercial space on the bottom floor and four residential units on the top floor.
