Former Qualcomm Building Sells for $12.1 Million

San Diego-based Bollert LeBeau Inc. has purchased a former Qualcomm Inc. office campus building in Sorrento Mesa for $12.1 million, the investment and development firm announced.

A statement from Bollert LeBeau said the vacant 81,976-square-foot building, at 6262 Lusk Blvd., was acquired from San Diego-based Qualcomm. The buyer and seller were represented by Lynn LaChapelle and Bob Prendergast of brokerage firm JLL.

Bollert LeBeau officials said the property will be converted into laboratory space. During the due diligence phase, the buyer secured a 10-year lease with Invivoscribe Technologies Inc., a maker of medical diagnostic products, which will occupy 64 percent of the building.

According to CoStar Group and public data, the building was constructed on approximately 5.1 acres in 1987.
