The joint powers authority for the North Embarcadero Visionary Plan is scheduled to hold a meeting Nov. 28, where the public can hear a construction update on the San Diego waterfront project’s Phase I.
The meeting is slated for 3 p.m. at the Port of San Diego’s administration building, 3165 Pacific Highway in San Diego.
Officials will also discuss the latest environmental impact report for the port district’s North Embarcadero master plan, and information on an integrated shuttle and parking study, according to a port district statement.
Work is proceeding on the $28.6 million first phase of the comprehensive project to beautify the downtown waterfront area and create new public open spaces. The project includes a 105-foot-wide esplanade with gardens, plazas and shade pavilions, and there will be significant improvements to roadways, utilities and storm water systems.
