Two general contracting firms with San Diego operations recently made Fortune magazine’s annual “100 Best Companies to Work For” list, published Feb. 6.
DPR Construction ranked 13 on the list, and PCL Construction Inc. came in at No. 29.
The Fortune survey, conducted with the Great Place to Work Institute, assesses corporate workplaces on factors including employee job satisfaction, company culture, pay and benefits, and management practices.
DPR, with headquarters in Redwood City, employs approximately 350 in San Diego County and has worked on recent local projects including the new Palomar Medical Center West in Escondido.
PCL, based in Denver, has about 60 local workers and is among contractors working on the ongoing expansion at San Diego International Airport.
