Commercial real estate services firm CB Richard Ellis, also known as CBRE, announced Dec. 16 that John D. Frager has been appointed to lead the firm’s San Diego regional office.
A longtime San Diego resident, Frager worked at the firm from 1986 to 2002. He rejoined CBRE in September 2010 as executive managing director of the company’s office specialty practice, following eight years as president and CEO of locally based brokerage firm Cassidy Turley BRE Commercial.
As leader of the San Diego region, Frager will oversee CBRE’s property services including brokerage, investment sales, asset services, debt and equity finance, project management and valuation.
“Having spent the last year interfacing with all of CBRE’s different business line leaders and learning about the company’s integrated services platform, I feel better prepared than ever to come into this new role,” Frager said in a company statement.
CBRE is part of the publicly traded CBRE Group Inc., a Fortune 500 and S&P 500 company based in Los Angeles. It has 31,000 employees at more than 300 offices, with San Diego operations based at University Towne Center.
Frager was among a group of 17 real estate professionals who established the local BRE Commercial in 2002. After ending an affiliation with Grubb & Ellis Co., it joined a national brokerage network branded as Cassidy Turley.
