Father Joe’s to Open Barber Shop for Homeless

Father Joe’s Villages announced it will be opening a barber shop, Village Clips, for the homeless April 23.

The ceremony is from noon to 12:30 p.m. at the Joan Kroc Center at 15th Street and Imperial Avenue.

For the grand opening two homeless residents will be given cuts and styling provided by volunteer stylists.

“For those working to get back on their feet, a haircut can help to prepare for a job interview or simply to build confidence,” Father Joe’s Villages said. “At Village Clips, people who often can’t access the same everyday luxuries as their peers will enjoy free haircuts from volunteers in a traditional barber shop setting”
