Pro Kids, a life skills and golf education nonprofit, said Monday its CEO Keith Padgett was retiring after coming to the organization in 2014.
Padgett has spent decades running children-focused nonprofits, leading the Boys & Girls Club of San Dieguito, and chapters of Big Brothers Big Sisters in Sacramento, Seattle and Los Angeles. He also ran the San Diego chapter of the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
His retirement will be effective April 30. The search for a replacement is ongoing.
Pro Kids | The First Tee of San Diego was founded in 1994 by former NFL player Ernie Wright to help underserved children. Last fall it launched an academic program aimed at improving STEM education.
