The deadline for Connect’s Most Innovative New Product Awards, which the organization touts as San Diego’s Oscars for new technology gizmos, is Sept. 2.
To qualify for an award, companies must have the product developed in San Diego, and must have introduced the product between September 2009 and this September. The company must also be generating revenue from sales, and the product cannot be in beta testing.
The contest has eight categories: action and sport technologies; aerospace and security technologies; clean technology; communications and IT; hardware and general technology; life science-diagnostics and research tools; life science-medical products; and software.
Connect is the nonprofit organization that helps innovative young businesses establish themselves and accelerate.
