The Center for Wealth & Legacy honored several individuals with Inspiration Awards during a ceremony April 25 at AMN Healthcare.
Winners included Rudy Shaffer, founder and president of Water4Life; Christopher Yanov, founder and president of Reality Changers; Robert K. Goff, founder of Restore International, which works to restore justice to oppressed children; and Jason Russell, founder of Invisible Children, which works to create awareness about violence against children in Central Africa.
The San Diego-based organization sponsors events twice a year to highlight inspiring stories that challenge attendees to create similar community-minded projects.
Others recognized for their work include Debbie Case, president and CEO of Meals-on-Wheels Greater San Diego Inc.; Mali Digius, owner and founder of the Diamond Boutique; Herb Johnson, president and CEO of the San Diego Rescue Mission; Nate Landis, founder and president of Urban Youth Collaborative; Magda Marquet, founder and co-chair of Althea Technologies; Jeanne McAlister, founder of the McAlister Institute for Treatment and Education; Chris and Tammy Megison, founders of North County Solutions for Change; Laurin Pause, executive director of Community Resource Center; Jorge Riquelme, executive director of Bayside Community Center; Paul Saber, founder and president of Manna Development Group LLC and Panera Cares; and Trevor Tice, founder and principal of CorePower Cares.
