Forbes magazine recently came up with its list of the 50 most expensive ZIP codes in the U.S., based on the value of median home prices, and San Diego’s exclusive Rancho San Fe enclave makes the prestigious listing twice. Coming in at No. 14 on Forbes’ list is 92067, boasting a median home price of $2.94 million, while coming in at No. 17 is 92091, with a median home price of $2.81 million. So, anxious to trade up? The former ZIP code features an 11-bedroom estate on eight acres on Puera Del Sol listed at $23.9 million, while the latter features a “museum quality property” sitting on four acres located along Calle Reina selling for $16.5 million. Surprisingly, despite all those expensive ZIP codes in Manhattan, as well as Silicon Valley (and a good sprinkling in Orange and LA counties), Forbes reports that the No. 1 most expensive ZIP code can be found in Alpine, N.J., across the Hudson from Yonkers (of all places), with a median home price of $4.55 million … It’s the final year for Cygnet Theatre Co.’s ”live radio” production of “It’s a Wonderful Life,” now showing at the group’s house in Old Town. A spokeswoman for the performing arts group said it was time to come up with something different for creative reasons, as most subscribers have seen the production multiple times. The final show is scheduled for Dec. 31, New Year’s Eve. Larry Jackman and family, who once owned the La Jolla Cove Suites, officially opened The Pantai Inn the weekend of Nov. 26-27, also in La Jolla. It is a rather unusual hostelry, says local hotelier Bob Rauch, whose firm will manage the property on behalf of Jackman. Rauch notes eclectic property features a group of cottages, bungalows and townhouses with ocean views — and all built between 1900 and 1930.
