The University of San Diego will host its annual Venture Vetting (V2) Pitch Competition virtually at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, May 5.
Registration for the virtual event is still open.
The event gives student entrepreneurs at USD the opportunity to put their business idea into practice and get the chance to win seed money of up to $25,000.
The three finalists competing for the final prize include:
Discrete Solar, which is creating an innovative, plug-and-play solar panel system built to withstand the toughest conditions on virtually any structure while being completely self-contained allowing on-the-go users, such as those with alternative lifestyles and tiny houses, to maximize their interior space.
Bipty, the first social fashion rental app for college women — think Airbnb for clothes. With Bipty, you can monetize your wardrobe, explore your style affordably, and reduce your carbon footprint while consuming fashion.
Proxy Hairwear, which helps women shop for wigs through a virtual try-on application. Their goal is to help women have a positive and comfortable experience when shopping for the perfect style and to have the confidence to purchase what they like.
