Universal Consensus LLC, a Carlsbad-based cross-cultural management consulting firm, said it is collaborating with Aon Hewitt, one of the world’s largest human resources companies, to help Aon in its advisory work involving international mergers and acquisitions.
Among the services that Universal Consensus provides its clients are assessments, strategic advising, training, executive coaching, and other programs that help companies improve integrations across cultures during mergers, acquisitions and joint ventures.
“More and more companies realize the importance of evaluating and controlling the impact of national cultures coming together during the M&A process,” said Denise Pirotti Hummel, CEO of Universal Consensus.
Failing to identify, analyze and manage cultural differences in a combination can create significant problems for companies and often can result in their failure, Hummel said.
Founded in 2009, Universal Consensus has about 45 employees worldwide including 10 locally.
