Fox Sports San Diego, the network provider of the San Diego Padres home games, said it has signed a contract with the Dish satellite network allowing that entity to broadcast Padres games this year to its customers starting April 1.
That agreement still means there’s a gap in every residence having access to televised Padres games. That is because Time Warner Cable, which provides services to about 20 percent of San Diego County’s population, still hasn’t reached an agreement with Fox Sports West.
In other news involving FSW, the network said it hired three new on-air broadcasters for its Padres programs: Laura McKeeman, Kelly Crull and Megan Olivi.
They are joining a veteran Padres telecast team headed by Dick Enberg, who does play-by-play, and Mark Grant, as color analyst. Mike Pomeranz is the host of the “Padres Live” for before and after game analysis, and Mark Sweeney is a “Padres Live” analyst.
