Northrop Grumman Awarded Deal to Modernize Air Force’s Global Hawk Fleet

The U.S. Air Force recently awarded Northrop Grumman a deal that might exceed half a billion dollars, to modernize its Global Hawk fleet.

The Global Hawk is an unmanned, high-altitude spy aircraft. Northrop Grumman has delivered 38 of them to the Air Force.

The recently announced deal is an indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity contract with a ceiling of $556 million.

All work will be performed in San Diego and is expected to be complete in two years. The Air Force will award task orders covering various aspects of management, engineering, retrofits and integrated logistics support.

The Air Force Life Cycle Management Center at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio awarded the contract.
