Office Building Goes for Nearly $8 million

A Kearny Mesa office building has been sold for $7.89 million.

The 20,060-square-foot building at 3710 Ruffin Road was sold by the Council of Community Clinics to Cabrillo Credit Union. The Council of Community Clinics will lease back a quarter of the building.

Renovated in 2019, the two-story building has solar panels, open ceilings, creative office space, private offices, conference rooms, employee breakrooms and restrooms on each floor.

Phil Linton and Nick Bonner of CBRE represented the Council of Community Clinics. Hayden Eaves, principal of Avison Young, represented Cabrillo Credit Union.

“The multiple offers we received indicate the historically strong demand for owner-occupied commercial buildings is continuing into 2023,” Linton said.

Bonner said that Kearny Mesa “has one of the tightest supplies of 20,000- to 40,000-square-foot-office spaces in central San Diego.”

“The supply is being diminished by redevelopment for different occupier types,” Bonner said.
