Carlsbad Life Science Building Sold for $35.75M

A Carlsbad life science building has been sold for $35.75 million.

The 119,591-square-foot building at 2210 Faraday Ave. was purchased by BentallGreen Oak from Hill Companies.

The one-story building with a mezzanine was built in 1997 and renovated in 2005. It has 24-foot ceilings, dock and grade loading and heavy power.

The sale was brokered on behalf of Hill Companies by Cushman & Wakefield Executive Vice Chairman Aric Starck and Senior Associate Drew Dodds.

Don Trapani of Cushman & Wakefield provided leasing advice.

“This was a terrific investment opportunity to acquire an existing R&D/life science asset in one of the world’s most renowned life science and R&D hubs, San Diego County,” Starck said. “Fully leased to three quality tenants in the industries of life science and technology, the asset provides the buyer with stable in-place income and is poised to perform well overtime as top regional asset in a submarket that continues to experience growth within the life science and R&D sectors.”
