San Diego Business Journal Westmont Living, a privately-owned senior living provider based in La Jolla, has named former senior vice president of operations Rob Henderson as COO and Dever Lamkin as CFO.

Founded in 1996, the family-owned company currently operates 17 senior communities in California and Oregon.

With Dever Lamkin as CFO, we are poised to take advantage of our growth strategies on a sound financial footing,” said CEO Andy Plant.

Henderson has spent his entire 23-year career serving seniors. He started as a skilled nursing administrator operating various facilities for a Los Angeles-based provider. He then spent 10 years with Sunrise Senior Living serving as an executive director and regional director of operations. He joined MBK Senior Living in 2012 as the vice president of operations where he helped grow the company from 15 communities to 34. In 2019 he joined Westmont as SVPO. Henderson holds a skilled nursing administrator license along with RCFE certification and is also a certified director of senior living and is a graduate of San Diego State University.

Lamkin was hired by Westmont this year and came from Senior Resource Group, LLC where he worked for 20 years starting as a staff accountant and rising to corporate controller during a time when the company saw significant growth. His expertise ranges from managing and developing operating plans for multiple ownership structures, to providing strategic financial analysis at both a community and consolidated level. He has a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of San Diego and is a CPA.

Westmont plans to open its 18th facility in Cypress, California this year.
