San Diego Business Journal H.I.M.-istry, a San Diego-based Black-owned organic skincare company, will launch its complete line of natural men’s grooming products in Nordstrom locations across the U.S. and online.

 

H.I.M.-istry, an acronym for “Healthy Image Men,” was founded by Darnell Henderson. The company currently offers more than 30 products focused on men’s skincare needs, shave care, beard care and body care.

 

In 2007, the company partnered with Macy’s, growing from three stores to nationwide distribution within the first year. Since then, it has grown through strategic partnerships with Amazon, Urban Outfitters and now Nordstrom. The company also has a wholesale business, selling in barbershops, salons and med spas around the country.
