A Kearny Mesa shopping center has been sold for $16.2 million.
Convoy Village, 4344 Convoy St., was acquired by CEG Capital Partners form Hartbaug Convoy, LLC.
Reg Kobzi, Joel Wilson and Michael Peterson of CBRE represented both parties.
“We are excited to have the opportunity to expand our presence in Kearny Mesa,” said Pat Geary, managing partner of CEG Capital Partners. “With a deep appreciation for the area, we are thrilled to acquire such a strong center from the original builder.”
Built in 1974 on a 3.25-acre site, the 42,338 square-foot center was 97% occupied by 21 tenants at the time of sale, Geary said.
“Convoy Village is among the strongest retail centers in Kearny Mesa, one of San Diego’s most thriving dining destinations,” Kokbzi said. “The recent update to the Kearny Mesa Community Plan will result in the addition of thousands of housing units and jobs in the area, fortifying Kearny Mesa as one of the most exciting and desirable neighborhoods in San Diego.”
