A new 135,623 square-foot Otay Mesa distribution center has been sold.
The developer of the property, Rockefeller Group, declined to disclose the selling price.
The buyer of the project, Airway Industrial Park at 8150 Airway Road, was a fund managed by Black Creek Group, a real estate investment firm that was acquired by a subsidiary of Ares Management Corp. July 1.
Rich Kwasny and Bob Mooney of Colliers International represented Rockefeller Group.
Mark Lewkowitz and Chris Holder of Colliers International represented Black Creek Group.
Lewkowitz and Holder will handle leasing for the new owners.
Rockefeller Group broke ground on Airway Industrial Park in September 2020 and completed construction on a 7.8-acre site earlier this month. It is the company’s first industrial development in South San Diego.
Airway Industrial Park features a 32’ clear height, 185’ truck yard, truck trailer parking, and 137 parking spaces.
The building was designed by Ware Malcomb and engineered by Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc. Dempsey Construction was the general contractor.
