San Diego Business Journal

The North San Diego Business Chamber is circulating a sign-on letter urging the San Diego County Treasurer and Tax Collector, to waive fines, late fees and penalties for 90 days on tax bills paid after the property tax filing deadline of April 10, 2020.

This letter is being sent on behalf of residents and business owners in San Diego County to provide relief for those that have a loss of income and facing economic uncertainty in these unprecedented times.

We understand that Mr. McAllister does not have the authority to extend the filing deadline but does have the authority to waive fees, penalties and interest. Many other counties in the state of California have already begun to take this action.

Doing this for the property owners in the County of San Diego will provide some much-needed relief for many during these challenging times.

Please click here to read and sign on to the letter before the deadline tomorrow, Wednesday, March 25, 5 p.m.
