Procopio promoted two of its attorneys to partner status on Jan. 9. Justine Nielsen and Michael Kiesling, both attorneys in Procopio’s real estate practice group, were elevated to the new role at San Diego’s largest law firm.

Nielsen’s expertise is in land use. She has represented private entities and public interest groups in land use, planning and entitlement cases throughout her career. She also serves on the board of directors for the Downtown San Diego Partnership and San Diego County Taxpayers Association.

Kiesling focuses on helping clients solve real estate, construction and commercial disputes. His experience includes litigating disputes involving contracts, property titles, fraud claims, landlord-tenant issues and eminent domain.

“The key to achieving partnership is artfully combining intelligence, tenacity and a commitment to client service, all of which Justine and Michael have in abundance,” Procopio Managing Partner John Alessio said in a news release. “Both are leaders in the legal profession, in the community, and at Procopio. We appreciate their continuing commitment to our firm and our clients.”
