Spring Valley-based Williams Aerospace and Manufacturing has been acquired by a Los Angeles area defense contractor for undisclosed terms.
The buyer, Kellstrom Defense Aerospace of El Segundo, made the announcement on Jan. 7.
Williams makes parts for a variety of Lockheed Martin aircraft, including the P-3 Orion maritime patrol aircraft and C-130 Hercules transport.
The combined companies are expected to exceed $160 million in total global sales for the 2019 calendar year.
“We are excited to move forward as part of the Kellstrom Defense team,” said William Cary and Shane Nonthavet, co-owners of Williams Aerospace, in a statement distributed by the buyer. “Joining the KDA team offers the right solution for us to continue to be engaged with our employees and customers while creating new opportunities for future growth.”
KDA has partnered with its current financial backers, PNC Mezzanine Capital and Barings as well as Blue Torch Capital, as lead arranger for the senior debt financing, to complete this transaction. Houlihan Lokey Inc. served as financial adviser and placement agent.
