General Atomics Aeronautical Systems Inc. received a $291.4 million contract covering support and services for the U.S. Air Force fleet of MQ-9 Reaper remotely piloted aircraft. Work will be performed in Poway. The contract covers program management, logistics support, configuration management, technical manual and software maintenance, contractor field service representative support, inventory control point management, flight operations support, depot repair and depot field maintenance. The Air Force Life Cycle Management Center at Robins Air Force Base, Georgia awarded the deal, announced Dec. 21.

In a separate deal from Dec. 21, GA-ASI received a $13.1 million contract for software work — specifically for Linux retrofit kits for the company’s “Block 30”-model ground control stations in the field. Work will run through September 2020. The Air Force Life Cycle Management Center at Wright Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio made the award.
