Barons Market served up local brews from Refuge Brewery at the store’s Backroom Beer Pairing of 2019 recently. Barons’ seven Southern California grocery stores host four of these events a year to gather the community around curated bite and brew menus in their stockrooms-turned-speakeasies. The total proceeds of $7,830 from the sell-out crowds will benefit local elementary schools and education foundations.
The Barons Backroom Beer Pairings donate 100 percent of proceeds from its seven locations to a local charity making a difference in its communities. In 2018, Barons raised more than $25,000 for local organizations through these pairings.
