The San Diego Architectural Foundation announced that more than 200 attendees, volunteers, and donors joined to kick off the 4th annual OH! San Diego (Open House San Diego) with a Polynesian-themed launch party at Bali Hai Restaurant on Shelter Island in Point Loma. OH! San Diego celebrates San Diego’s architecture with behind-the-scenes access and educational experiences at over 98 sites across downtown San Diego, Bankers Hill, Balboa Park, Barrio Logan, Point Loma, and La Jolla. Proceeds and donations go toward keeping Oh! San Diego free to the public.

Rosamaria Acuña, a Realtor with Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices California Properties, and an active supporter of SDAF, is an advocate for raising awareness of San Diego’s rich architectural history.

Guests enjoyed live music by Desi, and other festivities. OH! founder Susanne Freistedt provided the opening remarks, followed by Bali Hai Restaurant owner Larry Baumann, who shared his historic family legacy; architectural historian Diane Kane presented the history of Tiki architecture and program director Carol Chin and event Chair Maxine Ward each spoke on behalf of OH! San Diego and SDAF.
