Thomas Sudberry founded the family-run Sudberry Properties in 1979, and he remains among the region’s power brokers. In the past year the company helped fund opposition to the SoccerCity proposal to redevelop the SDCCU Stadium site and is active on the Friends of SDSU Steering Committee, which is pushing for a campus annex on the site. Sudberry has developed numerous high-profile projects throughout the region, including the 230-acre Civita community in Mission Valley. The company recently broke ground on a $44.5 million retail center at the Millenia, with an opening planned for summer 2018. Sudberry has deep experience in all aspects of development, including commercial brokerage, engineering and construction, and in 2003 he completed a graduate-level executive program in design at Harvard University.
