President and CEO, Father Joe’s Villages
Appointed president and CEO in 2015, “Deacon Jim” brings more than 30 years of management and human resources experience to Father Joe’s Villages. He oversees all facets of the organization, including St. Vincent de Paul Village, Toussaint Annex, Josue Homes and a portfolio of low income housing. He is a past board chairman of Rady Children’s Hospital Foundation and a co-founder of the Epiphany Prep Charter School. He is a deacon of the Roman Catholic Diocese of San Diego serving the community of Mary, Star of the Sea, La Jolla.
FUN FACT: He grew up in the same South Bronx neighborhood as Father Joe – about three blocks apart.
OTHER CHOICES: He considered joining the priesthood but fell in love and married at age 21. He was ordained Deacon in 2006.
