The San Diego Venture Group is hosting a Feb. 22 event featuring a panel of investors who specialize in health technology and life science companies.
Entrepreneurs are invited to learn more about raising early-stage capital from investors who specialize in digital health innovations.
Slated to appear on the panel are Jeff Friedman, who oversees a portfolio of biotech and pharmaceutical companies as managing partner of Friedman Bioventure; Jonathan Kabakoff, senior principal at Alexandria Venture Investments, the venture capital arm of Alexandria Real Estate Equities Inc.; and Vijay Murthy, a principal of venture investments at Johnson & Johnson Innovation, the division which oversees the company's incubators and other collaborative efforts.
Life sciences entrepreneur Dena Marranuci, who leads corporate development and research and development at Truvian Sciences, will moderate the discussion.
The event is 5-8 p.m. at JLabs, the Johnson & Johnson accelerator, located at J&J's research and development facility in La Jolla. Attendees will also have the opportunity to meet several current JLabs companies.
Registration, at sdvg.org, is free for SDVG members and starts at $40 for nonmembers.
