A new restaurant, Curadero, has opened in downtown San Diego’s Kimpton Hotel Palomar as part of a renovation project.
Designed by Ware Malcomb, the project involved a two-story renovation of the restaurant and bar on the first floor and an open space designed for a combination of private dining, a game room, and a lounge area on the second floor mezzanine level.
The new restaurant features Mexican street food in a relaxed atmosphere. The second floor Arriba Room includes a late-night taco window, vintage arcade games, foosball and shuffleboard with Mexican—themed artwork on display.
“The restaurant, bar and lounge area is such an important part of the overall boutique hotel experience,” said Tiffany English, principal of Ware Malcomb’s San Diego offices.
The project was collaboration with Studio Unltd, an interior designer based in Los Angles. RSM2 was the general contractor. JLL was the project manager for Kimpton Hotel Palomar.
