The U.S. Navy awarded a combined $120.5 million contract modification to three San Diego shipyards — BAE Systems San Diego Ship Repair, Continental Maritime and General Dynamics NASSCO — to conduct maintenance and repair work on Arleigh Burke-class destroyers and Ticonderoga-class cruisers.

Work will be performed at the contractors’ yards or at Naval Base San Diego. No funding was obligated at the time of the award, which was announced Feb. 27. Work is expected to last through March 2018.

The Southwest Regional Maintenance Center of San Diego awarded the contract.
