Greater San Diego Association of Realtors, Serbian Real Estate Group Establish ‘Honorary Reciprocal Affiliation’

The Greater San Diego Association of Realtors, the county’s largest real estate trade association, announced Friday that it has established an “honorary reciprocal affiliation” with the Real Estate Cluster of Serbia, a Serbian real estate association.

Under the agreement, members of each organization may do business with each other and promote their respective markets, said the organization, which also goes by SDAR.

“We’re pleased to extend a hand in friendship and grow our international network with this agreement,” Bob Kevane, president of SDAR’s board of directors. The association, one of three real estate trade associations in San Diego County, has more than 14,000 members.

The National Association of Realtors’ International Real Property Foundation, a nonprofit organization that aims to develop real estate markets in emerging economies, has fostered the Serbian real estate group’s relationships with U.S.-based organizations, according to SDAR.

The Serbian agreement is part of a broader effort by SDAR to market the San Diego region to real estate investors worldwide, the association said. During the San Diego International Congress, an event in September, SDAR linked foreign investors with investment-ready projects in San Diego, including the redevelopment of Seaport Village, the organization said.
