Heaviland Landscape Management announced the acquisition of El Cajon-based Landscape Plus, which closed its doors Jan. 1.

Heaviland said it will absorb Landscape Plus' maintenance and construction management projects and clients.

The company declined to reveal the value of the deal.

Tom Heaviland, president of Heaviland Landscape Management, told the Business Journal that the acquisition was a combination of commercial maintenance agreements and commercial construction projects with a prominent San Diego County general contractor.

“We purchased these contracts from our colleague Matt Jerman at Landscape Plus because they are a good fit for us and they provide some potential to grow in scope of work over time,” said Heaviland in the release. “This acquisition should provide revenue growth for us and an opportunity to demonstrate our high quality standards to an expanded group of clients.”

Headquartered in Vista, Heaviland Landscape Management provides landscape design, installation, enhancements, maintenance and resource management services from its locations in Vista, Miramar and South Bay.
