Qualcomm Inc. declared a 48 cent per share quarterly cash dividend on Jan. 12. The dividend is payable March 23 to shareholders of record on March 2.

San Diego-based Qualcomm (Nasdaq: QCOM) has been paying 48 cent dividends since April, when it increased dividends from 42 cents.

Company shares lost 33 percent of their value in 2015, closing at $74.33 on Dec. 31, 2014 and at $49.99 on Dec. 31, 2015. The year saw the company implement several changes to increase value — making cuts to expenses and staff — in a process that continues into 2016. The company reviewed a major structural change that would have separated its intellectual property arm from its chip making and engineering arm, rejecting the change in the end.
