PriceSmart, a San-Diego based shopping warehouse chain operating in Latin America and the Caribbean, reported revenue of $699.2 million in the fourth quarter of 2015, compared to $622.6 million in 2014.
Net income was $22.4 million in the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2015, or $0.75 per diluted share, higher than last year’s fourth-quarter income of $21.9 million, or $0.73 per diluted share.
Net warehouse club sales for PriceSmart (Nasdaq: PSMT) increased 13 percent to $677.3 million for the fourth quarter in 2015 from $599.6 million in the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2014.
For the 12 months ending Aug. 31, 2015, net warehouse club sales increased 11.3 percent to $2.7 billion from $2.4 billion for the 12 months ending Aug. 31, 2014. Total revenue increased 11.3 percent as well to $2.8 billion this year (12 months ending Aug. 31, 2015) from $2.5 billion in the same period of the prior year.
The company had 37 warehouse clubs in operation as of August 2015, up from 33 warehouse clubs in the prior year.
