Parallel 6, a San Diego software firm specializing in mobile management engagement, said it acquired The Agency San Diego, a marketing design firm, for an undisclosed price.

Five-year-old Parallel 6 said the acquisition demonstrates both companies’ goals to provide global brands with mobile strategies that capture and engage audiences.

The Agency was founded in 2004, and specializes in next-generation marketing strategies and designs.

Parallel 6 created a Captive Reach mobile platform that lets companies obtain more data about their customers and build stronger relationships with them.

Parallel 6, which is headed by CEO Allan Camaisa, declined to provide its annual revenue or employment figures. The privately-held business recently relocated to the University Towne Center area.
