San Diego-based OncoSec Medical Inc. is consolidating its two research and development facilities at its new headquarters in Sorrento Mesa.
The local biotech, which is developing DNA-based cancer therapeutics, previously had R&D labs in Seattle and Pacific Beach. The company is bringing all operations to a 34,000-square-foot facility located at 5820 Nancy Ridge Drive.
The facility, which will house over 50 employees, incorporates green design elements such as drought-tolerant landscaping and a recycled water irrigation system.
Founded in 2011, OncoSec (NASDAQ: ONCS) is developing technologies to stimulate the body’s immune system to target and attack cancer. The company’s investigational platform, ImmunoPulse, is designed to enhance local delivery and uptake of DNA-based therapeutics directly into tumors. The company is conducting pre-clinical and clinical studies targeting various cancers in collaboration with several academic medical centers and companies.
