PriceSmart Inc., the San Diego operator of club warehouse stores in Latin America and the Caribbean, reported fiscal 2014 fourth quarter revenue of $622.6 million, up 6.3 percent from the like quarter of 2013.

Net income for the period was $21.8 million, compared to net income of $20.8 million in the like quarter of the prior year.

Revenue for the full fiscal year that ended Aug. 31 was $2.5 billion, up 9.2 percent from the 2013 fiscal year.

PriceSmart said its net profit for the year was $92.8 million, compared to a net profit of $84.3 million for the prior fiscal year.

In other news, the company announced the opening of a fourth warehouse club store in Colombia in the capital city of Bogota. The latest store brings the total number of stores to 34 located in 12 countries and one U.S. territory.
