Glacier Water Services, the Vista operator of drinking water vending machines, reported third quarter revenue of $35.4 million, up 13.2 percent compared with the like quarter of last year.
Sales growth was mainly driven by an increase in water vending machines as a result of its acquisition of Aqua Fill last year, new vending machines, and positive growth in same machines this year, the company said.
Glacier Water said its net loss for the third quarter was $359,000, compared with net income of $195,000 for the same period last year.
For the nine months to Sept. 30, Glacier Water said revenue was $96 million, up 13.9 percent from the like period of 2012.
The net loss for the nine months was $4.7 million, compared with a net loss of $3.4 million in the same period of last year.
Glacier Water has about 23,700 water vending machines in 47 states and Canada.
