General Atomics ASI Gets $40.3M Army Contract

The U.S. Army awarded General Atomics Aeronautical Systems Inc. $40.3 million for full-rate production of the Gray Eagle unmanned aircraft system, the Pentagon announced on Dec. 6. The Gray Eagle is the Army version of the Predator aircraft.

Work will be done at the GA-ASI plant in Poway and is expected to be completed by September 2016. The Army Contracting Command of Redstone Arsenal, Ala., awarded the deal, which is technically a contract modification.
