The San Diego Archaeological Center received a $25,000 challenge grant which will match every dollar contributed to the center through June 30. The funds will go to programs, research and exhibitions. Archaeological artifacts will be preserved and shared with the public as a result of this funding. “This challenge grant is especially important to us now, when corporate and foundation donations are scarce,” said Executive Director Cindy Stankowski … Torrey Pines Bank is a $10,000 sponsor for the San Diego Opera’s special performance by Renee Fleming, a benefit set for March 24.
