Pediatric Care Center Opens in Oceanside

Health care providers Sanford Children’s Clinic, operated by South Dakota-based Sanford Health, and Rady Children’s Hospital of San Diego have opened a new pediatric care center in Oceanside.

A grand opening ceremony was held March 24 for the 28,500-square-foot facility, offering pediatric specialty services including primary and urgent care under one roof. The center, at 3605 Vista Way, was made possible through a $2.5 million donation from the Wygod’s Rose Foundation to Sanford Health, according to a statement.

Sanford Children’s and Rady Children’s are sharing space in the building, which is designed to resemble a castle. Sanford Children’s operates a general pediatric clinic in 6,000 square feet of the space. It is scheduled to open for patient visits April 4.

Rady Children’s has consolidated four nearby specialty clinics, providing specialty services in one location. It will provide pediatric subspecialty care, psychiatry, developmental services and an after-hours urgent care clinic.

Rady’s Chadwick Center for Children and Families will provide services to parents of patients at the center, the statement said.
