The La Jolla Playhouse 2011 gala scheduled for March 19 will honor Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Doug Wright along with Tony Award-winning actor BD Wong and set designer Robert Brill. In keeping with the theme, “La Jolla Playhouse Honors,” Arthur Wagner, founding chair and emeritus professor, UC San Diego Department of Theatre & Dance, and the past board chairs of the Playhouse will also be honored. Proceeds from the gala benefit the Playhouse’s New Play Development and Education and Outreach Programs. The Lead Sponsor for the evening is Qualcomm.
