Dan Tate has joined the Carlsbad office of Colliers International as associate vice president. Tate specializes in leasing and selling North County office properties.?p>Before joining Colliers, he was an associate with Cushman & Wakefield, formerly Burnham Real Estate Services, for six years.

Tate graduated from Point Loma Nazarene University with a bachelor? degree. He? a certified commercial investment member candidate and a member of the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties. In 2008, he was recognized for brokering the largest office sale transaction in Escondido ?a $17 million medical office building.

Education

The University of Phoenix has named Michael Bevis San Diego campus college chairman for its school of business. He oversees the business programs and courses at the learning centers in Chula Vista, downtown San Diego, Kearny Mesa and San Marcos. Most recently, Bevis was employed at a local financial institution. He? also involved with organizations such as Junior Achievement and Score San Diego.

Law

Allen Matkins Leck Gamble Mallory & Natsis has appointed Megan Mazza to its litigation practice group. For the past four years, Mazza practiced at Luce Forward Hamilton & Scripps. Mazza has extensive real estate litigation experience, having represented clients in all aspects of real estate development litigation and related business litigation matters, including disputes related to easements, purchase and sale agreements, commercial contracts, development and construction. She received her law degree from the University of Michigan Law School in 2004 and completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Notre Dame in 2001.

Manufacturing

Veridiam has hired Andy Gale as CEO. Gale will head up operations of all Veridiam business units, including Veridiam Medical, Veridiam Advanced EDM, Veridiam Allied Swiss, and Point Technologies. He?l be responsible for overall development and the integration of operations of all units. Additionally, he will be responsible for continuing the implementation of Veridiam? growth strategy. He has 25 years?experience in the manufacturing industry.

ValueSelling Associates has hired Charles Fodor and Lisa Mah-Chut. Fodor will be responsible for the firm? French-speaking clients. He has 25 years of field sales experience. Mah-Chut will attempt to increase ValueSelling? presence in the Pacific Rim and Australia. She possesses 19 years of experience.

Georgia Murphy has partnered with La Costa Resort Real Estate to specialize in boutique real estate. Murphy possesses 12 years of California real estate experience and was affiliated with Coldwell Banker for the past six years. Murphy received a bachelor? degree in management and marketing from Widener University in Pennsylvania and a teaching credential from Cal State San Marcos. She? a member of the National Association of Realtors, the California Association of Realtors and the Score Women? Business Networking Group.

David Ernst has joined The Hoffman Co. He has 20 years of real estate experience with 10 years of acquisition and entitlement experience. Ernst was previously director of land acquisition and forward planning for The Garrett Group, a locally based land and real estate investment management business. He also has served in top land acquisitions positions at the San Diego offices of Richmond American Homes, Hallmark Communities and KB Home.

Centennial Escrow has hired Karen Batchelder as escrow manager and Yvonne Walton as escrow officer. Batchelder possesses 26 years?experience and Walton 25 years?experience in the real estate industry.

Staffing

TurningPoint has hired Seann Dailey as division manager, executive search. Dailey has worked as a recruiter in the San Diego market for eight years. She has placed 200 professionals during her career and, as division manager, her responsibilities will include business development and the execution of searches in sales, marketing, accounting, finance and operations. Before joining TurningPoint, Dailey was employed for six years with Caron and Stanley.

Summit Performance Group has named Garrett Stanwick director of Western regional sales. Stanwick is responsible for marketing SPG? meeting planning, incentive and sports hospitality services to businesses, associations and other organizations in California, Oregon and Washington. Stanwick received a bachelor? degree in anthropology from Johns Hopkins University.
