Copley Symphony Hall Upgraded In Time for Holiday Performances

The $3.4 million interior renovations in the main performance hall and backstage areas at Copley Symphony Hall are complete. Domus Studio Architects and Echo Pacific Construction built or modified 5,000 square feet of musicians’ quarters under the main stage, theatrical and house lighting, and added a new sound system. The $1.4 million musicians’ quarters renovation, now called The Grosvenor Family Musicians’ Center, was paid for in part by a major commitment from Joyce and Craig Grosvenor. Remodeling included the addition of more handicapped seating and improved accessibility for patrons with disabilities. A bright spot in the project was a $2 million lighting and paging system.

Sully-Jones Roofing has completed re-roofing the commercial center at 1415 Ridgeback Road in Chula Vista, according to Ben Scales, commercial project manager. Approximately 4,700 square feet of new roofing on the dental office building managed by Park Ridge Professional Center was replaced. The contract was valued at $27,000.

Village at Riverstone, a 25-acre, mixed-use “lifestyle center” in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, is 90 percent complete. Designed by San Diego-based Benson & Bohl Architects, it’s the core of the larger 160-acre Riverstone development. The center includes a man-made lake, 10-acre community park, 500,000 square feet of office space and124-room Hampton Inn. The lakefront development also includes three restaurants.

Bilbro Construction has begun phase two renovations at the Doubletree Golf Resort, an 18-hole golf course in Rancho Penasquitos. Bilbro modified 138 guest suites. Exterior work included storm-drain system improvements, waterproofing upgrades and new stucco on existing buildings. Interior improvements included HVAC modifications, as well as updated ceramic tile and wall finishes.

Six homes, including three model homes, are nearing completion and for sale at Cypress Greens at Carmel Mountain Ranch by Shea Homes. Prices start from the mid-$300,000s. The community offers two- and three-bedroom condominiums spanning 1,082 to 1,414 square feet. Neighborhood amenities include a swimming pool, hot tub, communal barbecues and a children’s play area. The development is located between Carmel Mountain Road and Ted Williams Parkway.
